Job Summary (Senior Developer)

- Serve as a technical expert and main developer, reporting to the Application Development and Support Manager.
- Act as a liaison with Florida Digital Service, solution providers, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and enhance business processes and metrics for technology and business units.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in core programming languages/frameworks such as .NET/C#, Java, or Python.
- Select appropriate technologies and tools agnostically, focusing on performance, maintainability, and alignment with business needs.
- Oversee and manage data transfers, integration between platforms, and API design using iPaaS tools.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate technical debt, balancing code refactoring with new feature delivery.
- Lead technical scoping, estimation, risk assessment, and planning across the SDLC.
- Mentor and guide junior/mid-level developers via code reviews, pair programming, and architectural discussions.
- Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders, aligning technical decisions with business objectives.
- Champion best practices in documentation, automated testing, CI/CD, and coding standards.
- Deliver high-impact technical tasks, such as core feature development, complex integrations, troubleshooting, and prototyping.
- Ensure codebase quality through rigorous reviews, refactoring, and enforcement of engineering standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, data models, and runbooks.
- Collaborate with product/project managers for technical discovery, estimation, risk mitigation, and tool evaluation.
- Enable team efficiency through mentorship, technical knowledge sharing, and unblocking team members.
- Provide contract deliverables such as PR review logs, code quality reports, CI/CD configurations, system diagrams, technical discovery summaries, technical debt registers, estimation breakdowns, runbooks, incident post-mortems, and onboarding documentation.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Deep technical expertise in .NET/C#, Java, or Python and broad technical ecosystem knowledge.
- Experience with API design, multi-platform data integration, and iPaaS solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, risk management, and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to mentor, lead, and elevate technical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for non-technical audiences.
