As a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in our rehabilitation team, working closely with occupational therapists to help patients achieve their goals and regain independence.
About the Role:
As a COTA, you will be responsible for assisting occupational therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans, conducting assessments, and developing strategies to promote independence, mobility, and daily living skills. You will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Our center offers a dynamic and supportive environment that fosters professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans
Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to identify treatment needs
Provide occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and strategies to promote independence and mobility
Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and strategies
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
Requirements:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field (or equivalent experience)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
