In the Laboratory Services settingalso known as the Clinical Laboratory, Diagnostic Services, Pathology Services, or the Lab Departmentyou'll operate in a rural generalist model that keeps skills sharp across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and transfusion services. As the Laboratory Supervisor, you'll balance hands-on bench work with oversight of daily workflow, prioritizing STATs from the emergency department, supporting inpatient and outpatient care, and coordinating with nursing and providers to keep turnaround times tight and communication clear.
