Endoscopy Technician Job Description Endoscopy Technician Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician for a 13-week contract assignment in Los Angeles, California. This role is based within a dynamic healthcare facility, supporting a diverse patient population undergoing various diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for preparing procedure rooms, assisting physicians during examinations, and ensuring the proper handling and maintenance of specialized endoscopic equipment. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, sterile technique, and efficient workflow. Key Responsibilities Prepare and set up endoscopy suites and equipment for various procedures. Assist physicians directly during endoscopic procedures, including patient positioning and handling of instruments. Perform proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of endoscopes and other reusable medical equipment according to established protocols. Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for procedures. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment within the endoscopy unit. Document procedure-related information accurately as required. Required Qualifications Active Endoscopy Technician certification or equivalent accreditation in the state of California.
