Project SurveyorOwn Your Future at PsomasJoin a 100% employee-owned firm built for long-term thinking, shared success, and meaningful impact.As our Project Surveyor for our Survey & Geospatial team in Fresno, you'll play a key role in supporting project delivery, collaborating with a talented team, and contributing to a wide range of infrastructure projects.Why PsomasShared Success: An ownership culture that rewards long-term thinking and doing what's right.Retirement Benefits: Company-funded ESOP + 401(k) with immediate match.Hybrid Flexibility: Flexible and hybrid work options that support collaboration and focused work.Career Growth: Structured career pathing, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities.People-First Culture: Collaborative teams that value diverse perspectives and invest in your development.Meaningful Work: High-impact projects across utilities, transportation, aviation, and rail.What You'll DoAs our Project Surveyor, you will support a diverse portfolio of surveying and mapping projects, contributing technical expertise while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.Project Coordination & ExecutionOrganize and coordinate projects involving a broad range of surveying and mapping assignments, supporting successful project delivery.Data Management & ProcessingUtilize various databases and systems to process and manage field data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Technical Mapping & AnalysisPrepare technical mapping and final drawings for agency submittals and approvals, including topographic mapping and boundary analysis.Research & CalculationsResearch and analyze title reports, right-of-way/easements, ALTA surveys, and mapping records; perform survey calculations and provide field support.Collaboration & SupportWork closely with survey staff and multidisciplinary teams to support project needs across departments.Direct Technical StaffTrain & mentor technical staff on survey procedures and workflows.Required QualificationsLicensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in California10+ years of experience across all phases of surveying, including public mapping (records of survey, legal descriptions, exhibits, etc.)Proficiency with industry-standard surveying software and data management toolsKnowledge of public agency codes, processes, and regulatory requirementsStrong analytical and collaboration skillsCompensation & BenefitsHourly Range: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)Incentives: Discretionary performance bonus programTime Off: 3 weeks PTO plus 8 paid holidaysTotal Rewards: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, along with employee ownership and retirement benefits.Our Hiring ApproachOur recruiting team reviews every application personally and will keep candidates informed throughout the process.
