Job description

Marketing Manager, Product

Shape the future of our brands and drive growth through innovative marketing strategies and product initiatives. You will lead the development and execution of market strategies and business plans while managing the launch of new products, packaging innovations, and integrated marketing programs. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to market, manage key projects, and deliver initiatives that strengthen brand performance and support business objectives. This role is ideal for a strategic, results-oriented marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys turning insights into impactful solutions.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing & Innovation, this position is based in Denver, CO and includes up to 25% travel.

The salary range for this position is $89,000- $133,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

In addition to the base salary, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prioritize innovation and renovation opportunities based on consumer trends, retailer needs, whitespace opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
  • Maintain a strong point of view on category and consumer/industry trends; collaborate with RGM and Category Management to monitor category and brand KPIs and translate trends into implications for the business.
  • Support concept development and early-stage innovation planning, including business rationale, launch timing, and commercialization feasibility.
  • Maintain visibility to project status, launch timing, dependencies, and resource needs across the innovation portfolio.
  • Proactively surface risks and opportunities and propose actions supported by data.

Project Management & Stage-Gate Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional innovation and commercialization projects through all phases of the Stage-Gate process, from concept approval through retailer launch.
  • Own project management responsibilities, including launch timelines, workback schedules, milestone tracking, risk management, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Facilitate Stage-Gate meetings, document approvals and key decisions, and ensure teams remain accountable to deliverables and timing.
  • Coordinate decision-making and alignment across Marketing, R&D, Packaging, Operations, Finance, and Sales.
  • Proactively identify project risks, gaps and blockers and escalate solutions as needed to maintain launch timelines.
  • Support packaging and innovation communication development to ensure alignment with brand strategy and launch objectives and ensure consistency and accuracy across product information.
  • Ensure all commercialization deliverables are completed accurately and on time, including packaging transitions, operational readiness, and launch materials.

Business Performance & Reporting

  • Produce monthly and/or quarterly business performance updates for leadership with concise insights, recommendations, timeline health, and risk-mitigation plans tailored for decision-making.
  • Improve reporting tools and templates to increase clarity, accuracy, and speed; document KPI definitions and reporting cadence, engaging AI tools where business appropriate.
  • Capture after-action learnings from launches and renovations to inform future pipeline prioritization and process improvement.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within CPG, food, brand, or category marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects, including launches, campaigns, renovations, and sales enablement, from concept through execution and post-analysis.
  • Experience leading a structured innovation or Stage-Gate / NPD process from concept through commercialization is strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Market Analysis: Ability to analyze and synthesize data and form logical conclusions, including understanding market trends, customer needs, the competitive landscape, and performance in the marketplace.
  • Excellent Communication: Clear and effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and information to different teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align day-to-day work with overall marketing goals, including developing approaches that improve product positioning and market presence.
  • Collaboration: Works well with cross-functional teams and can coordinate and often lead them to support product launches and initiatives.
  • Executional Excellence: Manages multiple deliverables concurrently while maintaining attention to detail, brand consistency, and a consumer-first mindset.

Tools & Software

  • Experience working with performance/market data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Circana/IRI, Mintel, Numerator, or similar) to inform strategy and evaluate results, with the ability to interpret data and build a story as it relates to marketing investments and consumer behaviors.
  • Experience and strong proficiency with the Microsoft suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using AI tools to streamline work processes.
