City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer care delivery in the nation’s sixth largest county. With the 2025 opening of Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital, City of Hope is advancing a national model for cancer research and treatment on its 72-acre research campus. The visionary initiative completes the most advanced, integrated cancer care network in the region, bringing more cancer-focused expertise, breakthrough acute and outpatient care, novel clinical trials and groundbreaking technology to a community with pressing needs. The hospital is seamlessly connected to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, ensuring uninterrupted care for each patient’s needs (low acuity or complex.)

This campus is surrounded by a network of regional clinical locations. In 2025, City of Hope will open Orange County’s only specialty cancer hospital. This six-story hospital will be seamlessly connected to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center. By opening the new hospital – City of Hope’s second academic hospital in California – we are fulfilling our promise to Orange County and completing the continuum of care for people with cancer.
The spectacular capstone to our 63-acre City of Hope Orange County campus is the largest new construction dedicated to cancer
care in the Western United States. Where other hospitals must serve the full spectrum of health conditions in our community, every team member at this specialty cancer hospital—from the nurses to nutritionists to physicians – will have a core focus on oncology.
