Technical Tendering Specialist
The Technical Tendering Specialist is responsible for commercial strategy creation, pricing model development and implementation. Furthermore he/she ensures commercial discipline and control to optimize business value. Provides Sales and Pricing Specialists with commercial strategy, models and pricing guidance, analytics, benchmarking, and capability development, to maximize the value capture of our technologies and services. Provides the business insights into the commercial implications of market trends and future technologies, as well as competitor behavior. Develops recommended actions and is responsible for driving the long-term profitability of the business.
Your Responsibilities
- Be responsible for responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for all Fixed Networks (FN) products, including xPON, Wi-Fi devices, and the associated management systems.
- Creating Bill of Materials, quotes, and competitive pricing of FN products.
- Assisting Sales teams with product questions
- Work with GSCO to build and analyze commercial proposals, pricing models, and deal structures to ensure margin, cash flow, and risk targets are met.
- Partner with Sales and Pre-sales to optimize deal terms, pricing, and commercial frameworks
- Identify commercial risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Review discounting, rebates, and incentive structures to protect profitability
- Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial tools, processes, and templates
Your Skills and Experience
You have:
The selected candidate must be based in Dallas TX, US or Ottawa, ON, CA
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in FN Business Development, Customer Engineering, commercial management, pricing, finance, deal desk, or related roles
- Telecom Market experience, preferably in North American market
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (or equivalent financial tools); comfort with data analysis
- Fixed Networks products/solution knowledge highly desirable
- Business acumen, margin calculation and deal evaluation
- Foster open communication, team orientated
- Manage execution of multiple projects that meet customer deliverable deadlines
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
