What you’ll tackle in a typical week
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance across thermoforming, die cutting, CNC routing, and plastic fabrication assets.
- Use hand tools, bench tools, and welding equipment to restore function and enhance machine reliability.
- Fabricate or modify parts and mechanisms to resolve recurring issues and upgrade legacy equipment.
- Interpret blueprints and wiring schematics to troubleshoot efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; proactively identify and address safety concerns.
- Document work and communicate clearly across shifts to ensure seamless handoffs.
- Contribute to cost savings, quality improvements, and productivity initiatives; provide technical support and informal training as needed.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Post‑secondary mechanic training or equivalent hands‑on maintenance experience.
- Comfort across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Welding experience and proficiency with common hand and bench tools.
- Ability to read and apply blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Growth mindset—eager to keep building skills over time.
Physical demands
- Standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout an 8‑hour shift.
- Lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Good manual dexterity.
