GENERAL DESCRIPTION Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is hiring a Driver for our store in Torrance: 18600 Crenshaw Blvd. Torrance, CA 90504. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, you'll help with sales, unloading trucks, stocking and pricing items, and assisting customers with their purchases. You'll also keep the warehouse and ReStore running smoothly. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Driving stake bed or box truck to assigned stop Loading at assigned stop Completing paper work at assigned stop Unloading at warehouse Directing Driver's Assistant SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS 1 year driving commercial vehicle Valid drivers license Minimum 25 years of age (for insurance purposes) OSHA/forklift training a plus WORK CONDITIONS Frequently it is required to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. alone, team lift 100 lbs. Frequent movement around the office/warehouse/ReStore may be necessary. Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouses, and screens. Working conditions consist of high temperature-controlled workspaces. Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on the work area. While performing the duties of a Driver, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle and/or feel objects, handle tools and/or controls, and talk to and/or hear.
