Kitting Specialist
Role Overview:
The Kitting Specialist is responsible for pre-assembling individual parts, hardware, and components into ready-to-use production kits or ready-to-ship packages according to strict customer or manufacturing specifications. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to keeping assembly and distribution lines running seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kit Assembly & Production: Accurately pull, count, and gather components using pick lists, work orders, or digital scanners.
- Quality & Accuracy Check: Verify part numbers, quantities, and labels to ensure zero discrepancies.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, report shortages or damaged materials, and perform regular cycle counts.
- Packaging & Labeling: Neatly arrange and package kits, ensuring all are clearly labeled with barcodes, part numbers, or routing tags.
- Workspace Upkeep: Maintain a clean and safe workspace following 5S standards.
- Material Handling: Assist in moving inventory using manual pallet jacks or related equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–2 years in a manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain setting preferred.
- Skills: Basic computer and math literacy; familiarity with inventory software or RF scanners; strong reading comprehension for technical work orders.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift and lift up to 35–50 lbs regularly.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00
