JOB TITLE: Facilities Engineer

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Plans, designs and oversees reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
Coordinates with architecture and engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
Inspects or directs inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Reads and executes engineering drawings and specifications with strong understanding of CAD systems.
Delivers comprehensive engineering packages for industrial and manufacturing facilities.
Applies electrical engineering knowledge to facilities design and construction projects.
Coordinates with cross-functional teams for facilities reconfiguration and construction projects.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Ability to read and execute engineering drawings and specifications with strong understanding of CAD systems.
Industrial or manufacturing facilities design experience.
Experience delivering comprehensive engineering packages.
Experience coordinating with architecture and engineering firms on design criteria and layout drawings.
Experience preparing bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
Experience reviewing and estimating design costs for equipment, installation, labor, and materials.
Experience inspecting construction and installation progress for conformance to specifications.
Safety shoes are required for this position.
