SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding our Rocky Mountain Natural Resources team and looking for dynamic individuals who following their passion in delivering the highest-quality project work.

Our Denver (Broomfield) CO and Fort Collins, CO offices offer a collaborative work environment with a variety of interesting projects. Due to continued growth, we need a Senior Natural Resources Technical Advisor to join us! As a Senior Natural Resources Technical Advisor, you will have experience working in Rocky Mountain/Great Plains/Intermountain ecosystems, including grassland, sagebrush, and/or subalpine ecosystems with a background in restoration ecology or a related field. This position requires an excellent understanding of soils, hydrology, vegetation, and other physical and biological processes related to grassland, sagebrush, subalpine, and related ecosystems.

This is an On-Call (on average, less than 19 hours per week), hourly position without benefits. The individual should be based in anywhere in the United States and can be fully remote.

What you will accomplish

You will be working within multi-discipline teams, collaborating with ecologists, wildlife biologists, and other natural resources scientists. Specific activities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance for projects requiring expertise in the Endangered Species Act. Bald and Golden Eagle Act, and the Migratory Bird act, among others
  • Have experience and a passion to lead efforts in task management, technical report writing, QA and QC of work products. And client interface.
  • Mentor and guide junior natural resources staff.
  • Drive compliance of safety policies and reporting requirements to ensure overall team safety.

An employee in this Denver, CO-based position can expect an hourly rate of between $46.96 to $61.15/hour. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law.
