IMEG is seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help advance our established growth strategy and drive continued momentum. Reporting to the CEO and a key partner to the executive team, this leader will guide financial performance, inform investment decisions, and position the organization for sustained long-term success.

We're looking for a CFO who brings both foresight and operational discipline. Someone who can translate financial insights into decisive action, strengthen organizational performance, and engage confidently with executive leadership and the Board. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide direction while leading a high-performing finance organization.

Location: This role is ideally based in our Rock Island, IL office, where executive presence and collaboration are highly valued. We will also consider candidates who can be based near another IMEG office, with the ability to maintain strong visibility and engagement across the organization.

What You Bring

• Advanced expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance management
• Executive presence with strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Strong strategic thinking and proven ability to operate as a trusted business partner
• Deep knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and financial governance
• Demonstrated success in budget development, cost management, and operational efficiency
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage executive leadership and Board stakeholders
• Proven leadership capability with a focus on talent development and team performance
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and business ethics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to travel up to 30%, including occasional overnight stays

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration required
• MBA preferred
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience serving as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), including significant experience in mergers and acquisitions
• Experience within the engineering consulting industry preferred
• As a key executive leader, this role includes a requirement for significant stock ownership to align with long-term organizational success (details provided during the process)

The salary range for this role varies by location. The expected range for Illinois-based candidates is $200,000$275,000 with adjustments for other geographic markets. Individual pay will be based on several factors including work location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
