CNC Programmer

Under the general supervision of the Design Engineering Manager, programs and schedules machining centers for new tooling. Track progress of new tooling fabrication. Programs and supports production using machining centers. Identifies and informs supervisor of area problems and possible solutions.

Employment Standards

Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance. Typical qualifications are professional degree or training in CNC Programming and/or 2 – 3 years experience.

Knowledge: Principles and practices of machining. Understanding of CAD/CAM programming.

Skills: VMC programming; effective use of time and materials to ensure projects are done on time; analyzing and independently solving process problems; interpersonal communications verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of people; maintaining effective business relations with other departments and customers.
