Job description

$10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray/CT Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Job Summary: Performs computed tomography procedures, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.Exercises professional judgement in performance of services andmaintainsa demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Job Duties: Provides education to patients,visitors and coworkersand students applying age specific skills whereappropriate. Explainsproceduresusingage-appropriatelanguage. Provides education to in house staff regarding proper preparation for patient exams. Assumes responsibility for assignedareasin accordance withscope of practice and acceptable outcomes. Follows all Medical Imaging policies and procedures. Follows all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to diagnostic radiography. Performs daily maintenance tasks. Checks crash cart and defibrillator Checks and documents Med. Refrigerator temperatures Stocks andinventories department. Performs patient assessment. Visually assessespatients. Assesses by chart review. Recognizes any changes and alerts appropriate nursing/physician personnel. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures following Administrative, Nursing and Medical Imaging policies and procedures with emphasis on consistent delivery of care in a compassionate and respectable manner to patients and significant others during all interactions. Directspatientsto proper position for scanprocedures. Utilizes correct demographics and protocols. Initiates scan utilizing correct parameters. Reviews images of patient following department protocols Sendimages to PACS. Providesaccurate documentation as needed in daily activities. Logs daily patient data. Completes EDE's in a timely manner. Performs equipment quality control tests andreports ofdeficiencies according to department procedures. Performs daily Q.C. on system Records findings and reports deficiencies. Meets customer service expectations. Practices radiation protection for the benefit ofself,co-workersandthe public. Questions females ofchildbearingage as to LMP andpossible pregnancy. Shields patients when applicable. Ensures that adequate screening of patients for magnetic materials isaccomplished. Follows policies and procedures regarding patient and visitor screening. Works with, supervises and educate students during procedures Understands the clinical competency system and performs clinical competencies as needed Understands requirements for student supervision Completes student evaluations Performs image evaluation Oversees repeat images Maintains current knowledge of program policies,procedures,and student progress Supports the educational process Transfers medication and supplies in an accurate and safe manner.
