Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX. This role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services. As a Pharmacist, you'll be pivotal in managing patient medications and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist - Accept and dispense prescription medications
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
- Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law
- Verify medicines prescribed to patients are suitable
- Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients
- Advise patients about medicines, including reactions and questions
- Provide consultation on medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
- Offer patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management
- Educate patients on medical device handling
- Compound medications for external or internal use
- Prepare sterile solutions following procedures
- Supervise pharmacy staff
- Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies
- Identify drug-related problems and communicate with healthcare practitioners
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and pharmacy interns
Requirements of the Pharmacist - Texas State Board Pharmacist License
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Front end and Backend Pharmacist Verification
- IV certified
- Excellent IT troubleshooting skills
