Job Description

This role focuses on performing complex maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on aircraft, engines, avionics systems, structural components, and landing gear in a Part 145 repair station environment. You will ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and manufacturer standards while serving as a technical leader on the shop floor, providing guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on aircraft, engines, avionics components, structural components, and landing gear in accordance with FAA and manufacturer standards.
• Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including annual inspections, ensuring aircraft are safe, airworthy, and compliant.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components as required.
• Perform corrosion inspections and repairs on aircraft structures and components.
• Diagnose mechanical, structural, and avionics issues using strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Part 145 repair station requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics, including oversight of maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Lead by example on the shop floor, contributing to a strong team-oriented culture and supporting floor leadership initiatives.
• Answer technical maintenance questions confidently and support others in resolving complex technical issues.
• Join the team and quickly become productive with minimal training, adapting to established processes and workflows.
• Support a safe and organized hangar environment by following all safety procedures and promoting a culture of safety and quality.

Essential Skills

• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Minimum of 8 years of MRO/Part 145 maintenance experience as an A&P mechanic, gained in commercial MROs, corporate Part 145 repair stations, and/or helicopter MROs.
• Extensive experience performing complex maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft, engines, avionics systems, structural components, and landing gear.
• Proven experience in both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including annual inspections.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, structural, and avionics systems.
• Demonstrated ability and desire to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics.
• Experience overseeing maintenance procedures and best practices in a repair station environment.
• Ability to confidently answer technical maintenance questions and support others with complex issues.
• Capability to join an established team and be effective with minimal training.
• Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a hangar environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in an MRO or Part 145 repair station service center environment.
• Experience in avionics installation and related maintenance.
• Experience performing corrosion inspections and repairs.
• Well-rounded mechanical experience across multiple aircraft systems and platforms.
• Experience mentoring junior mechanics and contributing to floor leadership.
• Long-term experience of 15–20 years in aircraft maintenance, or 10+ years of TBM experience, is highly valued for direct hire consideration.

Work Environment

This position is based in a multi-hangar Part 145 maintenance environment featuring eight open-bay hangars equipped with large air fans (BAFs) for comfort and airflow. Standard work hours follow a Monday–Friday schedule, with typical shifts of either 8:00 .–4:30 . or 7:00 .–3:30 . You will work hands-on with aircraft in an open bay setting, following established safety procedures and maintaining a professional appearance appropriate for an active maintenance hangar.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
