The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for managing and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This includes developing and directing staff and maintaining and reconciling the AP and AR ledgers to ensure timely and accurate payments. This individual will also be responsible for implementing and ensuring documentation of standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records; evaluating inefficiencies and opportunities for cost savings or process improvement and relaying conclusions to management. This is full-time, hybrid opportunity.
Responsibilities include managing overall monthly bank account reconciliation, assisting with month end activities, handling adjusting entries in Sage Intacct, reviewing and/or responding to special customer requests, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency, managing special projects, supporting finance team with monthly goal objectives, managing a team of 6+, and monitoring aging reports, managing collections and following up on delinquent accounts.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting, 5+ years of experience with knowledge of both accounts payable and receivable, 3+ years of strong leadership and direct supervisory experience, 2+ years of experience with Sage functions, in particular the "aging" function, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to adapt quickly to the changing demands of a growing software company, and excellent planning, analytical and interpersonal skills.
