Sales Support Manager

Working in conjunction with the HUB Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the sales support function of the Newark facility. Managing the components of the sales process including accurate order entry, servicing the end user, team setting with HUB Manager, correct pricing files, inventory levels and overall customer satisfaction, safety of all associates, staffing of customer service team, and site services team functions working in conjunction with the Outside Sales Representatives through the RGM and Supply Chain teams.

Essential Function: Leads the local team of Customer Service Representative, and Site Service Technicians to manage the safety/compliance performance, packaged gas sales, welding products and hard goods sales, communicating needs of end users collaborating and communicating with the HUB plant manager to meet or exceed expectations of our end users. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry such as fractions, percentages, ratios, volume and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to work in a Matrix environment.

EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree from a 4-year college or university may be in conjunction with or substituted by years of experience

EXPERIENCE: Five to Ten years related experience and/or training preferably in site/branch operations and/or package gas operations in the industrial gas industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Hazardous Materials training; must have reliable transportation to travel to assigned work locations and customers' sites.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to proficiently display computer software skills with programs such Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Hands on understanding of industrial gas products, production, and distribution applications, and associated equipment. Working knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices. Training in Safety and Compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA, and FDA)

ANNUAL SALARY: $75,000 to $85,000 DOE.
