ASPYRE of Waukegan is seeking a highly organized and dependable Scheduler to join our team. The Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring appropriate staffing coverage throughout the facility by coordinating employee schedules, managing staffing needs, and supporting department leaders with workforce planning.

Create and maintain staffing schedules for nursing and facility departments
Ensure adequate staffing coverage for all shifts in accordance with facility needs and staffing requirements
Coordinate replacement coverage for call-offs, vacations, leaves of absence, and open shifts
Communicate staffing needs and schedule changes with department managers and staff
Monitor overtime, agency usage, and staffing patterns to support operational goals
Maintain accurate scheduling records and staffing reports
Verify employee availability, attendance, and schedule adherence
Assist with tracking and maintaining employee timekeeping records as needed
Work closely with Human Resources, Nursing Leadership, and department managers regarding staffing needs
Respond promptly to staffing emergencies and last-minute scheduling adjustments
Ensure compliance with facility policies, labor regulations, and staffing requirements
Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information
Perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous scheduling experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or related setting preferred
CNA certification required
Knowledge of staffing practices and scheduling software preferred
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
