Payroll Specialist
General statement of responsibilities to prepare, process, and distribute payroll efficiently and accurately as a supportive member of the business office. Responsibilities include preparing, processing, and distributing payroll for all district employees, reconciling payroll and employee deductions regularly to ensure accuracy, and ensuring compliance with board policy, state and federal laws, and other regulations governing payroll practices.
Qualifications include knowledge of basic accounting practices, effective communication skills, and experience utilizing office technology and computer software. An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Essential duties require the ability to perform each duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities. Physical demands include talking, hearing, using hands, standing, walking, sitting, lifting, and specific vision abilities.
The work environment is indoors with moderate noise levels.
