Brookhaven Market is hiring a Full-Time Deli Manager (onsite) in Mokena, IL, paying $22–$25/hour. This role exists to keep our deli department running smoothly, looking sharp, and serving customers with speed, care, and consistency.
Key responsibilities include leading and coaching deli associates; ensuring fresh, great-looking deli meats, cheeses, and ready-to-eat items; maintaining food safety and sanitation standards; managing inventory, ordering, rotation, and waste control; supporting sales goals, budgeting, and promotions; building schedules, watching labor costs, and resolving day-to-day challenges.
Required skills/qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Deli Manager or similar retail/foodservice management role
- Strong deli product knowledge and food safety expertise
- Confident leadership, communication, and customer-service skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities
- Inventory control and waste-reduction know-how
- Able to stand/walk for shifts and lift up to 30 lbs
- Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays)
