Phlebotomy Technician
Bestica is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to provide service at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and associated Branch Health Clinics (BHCs) and TRICARE Prime Clinics in the Portsmouth, VA region.
Join a mission-focused team in support of active duty military members, veterans, and their families. Phlebotomy Technicians play a vital role in laboratory services by performing venipuncture, specimen collection, and associated lab support tasks across multiple clinics.

- Some clinics operate weekends and holidays; scheduling varies by location
- Clinics include Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Yorktown
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited or equivalent two-part phlebotomy training program
- At least 40 hours classroom training, 100 hours clinical training, and 100 successful venipuncture (including skin puncture) procedures
- Minimum of one year experience (within the last three years) performing venipunctures on diverse patient populations
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA; no web-based courses)
- Basic competency in computer/data entry
