This role is ideal for a developer with 2+ years of hands-on Java experience who enjoys building practical software, solving business problems, and working in a collaborative team environment. In this role, you’ll design, develop, test, implement, and support Java-based applications, integrations, APIs, and services for Lynden’s freight management systems.
This is a hybrid position after training, with 2 days onsite in SeaTac and 3 days remote.

What You Will Be Doing: * Designs, develops, tests, implements, and maintains Java-based applications, integrations, APIs, and services throughout the software development lifecycle. * Ensures delivery of high-quality software through clean, maintainable code, unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to established development, security, and change management standards. * Works closely with customers, business analysts, and other developers to understand business requirements and deliver quality, cost-effective technical solutions that align with business objectives, IT strategy, and architectural standards. * Participates in application and data architecture discussions and makes recommendations regarding new development, system enhancements, technology adoption, and buy-versus-build decisions. * Troubleshoots and resolves application defects, performance issues, and production support incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. * Manages multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, establishing priorities and ensuring timely completion of deliverables. Tech you’ll work with: * Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AKS, cloud-native applications, and freight management systems.
