Lead a High-Performing Aerospace Machine Shop
We're seeking an experienced Machine Shop Manager to lead daily operations in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving production, developing the team, and ensuring exceptional quality in a fast-paced CNC machining operation.
What You'll Do
Lead the daily operations of a CNC machine shop focused on precision aerospace components.
Supervise, coach, and develop machinists and production personnel.
Drive productivity, efficiency, and on-time delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure products meet blueprint specifications and tight tolerances.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to maximize throughput.
Manage shop scheduling, machine utilization, and workflow planning.
Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
Participate in hiring, training, performance management, and employee development.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience managing a machine shop in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
Strong background in CNC machining and tight-tolerance manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to build accountability, coach employees, and drive results.
Experience improving manufacturing processes, efficiency, and production performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an AS9100 and/or ISO-regulated manufacturing environment.
Multi-axis CNC machining experience.
ERP/MRP system experience.
Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
