Are you committed to advancing economic equity and connecting underrepresented talent to career opportunities using mentorship and access to professional networks? Are you ready to drive growth and scale impact in service of a meaningful mission?

Organization Overview:

StreetWise Partners is on a mission to drive career mobility and help build the workforce of today and tomorrow. For more than 25 years, we have expanded access to opportunity through high impact mentoring, career coaching, and job placement, supporting over 25,000 adults on their path to meaningful employment.

Through one-on-one mentorship, participants build professional skills, social capital, and an expansive network of advocates who open doors and support long term career success. This role will play a critical part in driving programmatic and organizational success to support our continued growth and scale.

Join StreetWise Partners in helping to build the workforce of tomorrow.

Position Overview:

The Program Facilitator is responsible for leading one to two 13-week mentoring programs each quarter. Facilitators deliver professional development workshops, guide mentoring sessions, foster participant engagement, monitor progress, and support mentees and mentors throughout the program. They also facilitate special events designed to build workplace skills and ensure a high-quality participant experience.

This is a part-time contract position based in New York City that reports to the New York Senior Program Director. Each program follows a hybrid format consisting of 13 sessions (8 in person and 5 virtual). $3,500 compensation is for facilitating one full 13-week mentoring program. Applications are received for one or two programs.

Each program requires an average commitment of approximately 5 hours per week, meaning facilitators assigned to two concurrent programs should expect an average commitment of approximately 10 hours per week. Hours will vary based on the program schedule, with some weeks requiring more time than others. Evening availability is required, and candidates must be able to attend all scheduled program sessions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead small and large group career development activities, including goal setting, resume development, LinkedIn optimization, networking, interviewing, and other workplace readiness topics; stay current on hiring trends and workforce best practices.
  • Partner with experienced volunteer co-facilitators, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery.
  • Support mentors and mentees throughout the program by answering questions, resolving challenges, monitoring engagement, and providing timely feedback on program expectations and deliverables.
  • Partner with the Program Support Lead to ensure participants receive the resources and support needed to successfully complete the program.
  • Monitor participant progress, track completion of program deliverables, and provide coaching and feedback to help participants achieve program milestones.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the program by recommending enhancements to the curriculum, facilitator resources, and volunteer training based on participant feedback and program outcomes.

    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, foster an inclusive learning environment, and effectively support mentors and mentees.
    • Creative problem solver with a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and program improvement.
    • Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
