Summary:
-
Develops and devises engineering dispositions for the E7 Aircraft in BDS production line.

Designs structural repairs and conducts simple static strength analysis for aircraft structures.
-
Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis, and develops dispositions for design non-conformances.

Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational, and quality issues and designs interim and final engineering solutions.

Identifies, documents, and analyzes reported problems and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety, and manages resolution.

Develops and implements product and process improvements.

Analyzes damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring and assures a safe work environment.

Develops non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.

Develops troubleshooting approaches for electrical, communications, and mission systems faults.
Requirements:
-
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Prior MRB (Material Review Board) or product review experience in aerospace engineering.

Experience designing structural repairs and performing static strength analysis.

Experience with root cause analysis and developing dispositions for design non-conformances.

Experience with non-destructive test procedures and standards.

Experience troubleshooting electrical, communications, and mission systems.
-
Willingness to travel to the UK approximately 25% of the year.
-
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance after start.
