You must have the ability to travel to a WSP and/or Client office for periodic face to face meetings. Tasks include providing technical project supervision and guidance in managing the administrative, commercial, and technical components of electric utility, power distribution, and power delivery infrastructure projects in alignment with WSP's core values and contractual commitments. The PDPM will be responsible for overall performance of distribution resiliency work. Oversight includes financial performance, technical execution, client satisfaction, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), safety, and schedule adherence.

As one of the world's leading professional services firms, WSP now brings world-class expertise in power delivery and project management with the recent acquisition of POWER Engineers, Inc. Our vision is to be the preeminent pure-play global consulting firm for the world's energy transition. And we need your help.

  • Build and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project delivery models.
  • Ensure compliance with utility standards, environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and safety protocols (OSHA, utility HSE standards).
  • Participate in proposal development, RFP responses, and business development efforts within the power & energy market.
  • Perform margin analysis, risk assessments, and contingency planning for large-scale power delivery projects.
  • Coordinate contract negotiations, client presentations, and stakeholder meetings with utilities, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and maintain project plans including PMP, Safety Plans, Risk Management Plans, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams specializing in distribution design, protection & controls, relay systems, and grid automation.

  • Lead efforts in change management, scope control, and claims mitigation.
  • Coordinate with technical managers on staffing for overhead and underground distribution projects, substations, and renewable interconnections.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Provide reporting to clients and leadership on project performance, risks, schedule, and budget status.
  • Manage project closeout activities, including lessons learned and continuous improvement for future T&D projects.
  • Stay current on power industry trends, grid resilience, distributed energy resources (DER), and electrification initiatives.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
