Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description Job Title Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Passaic, New Jersey. This role is situated within an acute care radiology setting, specifically focusing on nuclear medicine imaging. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to provide high-quality imaging services. Key responsibilities include supporting Radiologists in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as ensuring the accurate processing and transmission of images to PACS. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nuclear medicine imaging services for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Assist Radiologists directly in the performance of various nuclear medicine procedures. Accurately process and transmit all imaging data to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of acute care Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience. Graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Preferred Qualifications CT/Fusions Certification. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. Knowledge of both mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment. Extensive knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology relevant to nuclear medicine. Proficient computer skills, including experience with PACS and other relevant imaging software. Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Shift Details Shift Type: AM Shift Duration: 8 hours per day Days per Week: 5 Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Contract Length: 13 weeks Assignment Dates: July 13, 2026 – October 11, 2026 Call Requirements: Not specified. Weekend Rotations: Not specified. Licensing Requirements Current and valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in the state of New Jersey. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
