Our client, a global law firm, is seeking a Senior Intelligence Platform Engineer to join their team in Los Angeles, CA!

The ideal candidate will serve as the technical delivery lead for the firm’s intelligence and experience management platform capabilities.

Responsibilities:
K&I Intelligence Delivery

• Serve as the primary technical delivery partner to the K&I Enterprise Intelligence function - translating intelligence platform requirements from the Director of Enterprise Intelligence and Firm Intelligence Manager into production-grade solutions.
• Own the technical execution of Foundation experience management platform enhancements, integrations, and data quality initiatives defined by K&I.
• Build and maintain the data integrations that connect Foundation, CRM, and related platforms to the firm’s enterprise data layer, enabling the analytics and reporting K&I delivers to practice groups.

Platform Engineering & Integration

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and integrations across the firm’s intelligence and experience management platforms.
• Own the technical delivery of Microsoft Fabric workloads - lakehouses, dataflows, pipelines, semantic models, and data governance configuration.
• Build and maintain API-based integrations connecting enterprise platforms to the intelligence layer, including experience management and CRM systems.
• Implement and enforce data lifecycle standards, access controls, and security configurations in alignment with firm governance policies.

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead technical design for new intelligence platform capabilities, working with the BI Lead and K&I stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to the two BI Developers on the team.
• Participate in architecture review and ensure all solutions align with enterprise standards set by the Enterprise Data Architect.
• Support Azure OpenAI and AI-assisted analytics integration where K&I intelligence use cases require it.

Quality & Governance

• Contribute to data quality monitoring, alerting, and remediation processes.
• Apply data lifecycle, classification, and security standards to all platform work as a matter of course.
• Maintain technical documentation for all integrations, pipelines, and platform configurations.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to engage directly with K&I and business stakeholders, translate intelligence requirements into technical specifications, and manage expectations on scope and delivery.
• Ability to operate independently, prioritize across competing demands, and communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach with a track record of mentoring junior engineers.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, platform integration, or analytics engineering in a production environment.
• Demonstrated experience delivering Microsoft Fabric or Azure data platform solutions end-to-end.
• Computer/Software Knowledge: 1. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and the broader Azure data platform 2. Confident with Python and SQL for data transformation, pipeline development, and automation 3. Experience designing and consuming REST APIs for system integration 4. Practical understanding of data governance principles — lineage, classification, access controls, lifecycle management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with experience management platforms such as Foundation.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as InterAction or Salesforce in an integration context.
• High-end consultancy or tier-1 technology platform background strongly preferred - candidates who have built enterprise-grade data platforms at scale and can operate with minimal supervision in a fast-moving program environment.
• Licenses: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineer, or Azure Solutions Architect certification
• Computer/Software Knowledge: Familiarity with AI-assisted development and Azure.

Salary: $160,000 - $175,000
