Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Description Job Title Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Summary Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Telemetry Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting in La Palma, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and management of various medical conditions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is a contract opportunity for a highly skilled RN to contribute to patient well-being within a dynamic clinical environment, focusing on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition. Administer medications safely and accurately, including IV drips, and perform treatments as prescribed. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to interventions. Collaborate effectively with physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medication regimens, and discharge planning. Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records using the EPIC system. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California. Minimum one (1) year of recent acute care Telemetry RN experience. Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills. Proficiency in medication administration, including IV therapy and titratable drips. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and critical thinking. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
