Job Title Surgical Technologist - Operating Room Job Summary This role is for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join a Level II trauma center in Chico, California. The primary assignment will be within the inpatient main Operating Room, supporting a diverse patient population requiring surgical intervention. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal patient outcomes by maintaining a sterile field and assisting the surgical team. Flexibility is key, as there may be requirements to float to the outpatient Same Day Surgery center as needed, providing comprehensive support across various surgical settings. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-acuity environment while working collaboratively within a dynamic surgical team. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team by passing instruments and supplies. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and specimen handling. Perform surgical counts with the circulating nurse. Maintain a safe and organized operating room environment. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Float to the outpatient Same Day Surgery center as required. Required Qualifications One (1) year of recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician program.
