Job description
Job Title CT Technologist Job Summary Seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Knoxville, TN. This role is based at an acute care facility, providing essential diagnostic imaging services to a diverse patient population requiring computed tomography scans. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of CT procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. This position requires a professional who can effectively manage patient flow, operate advanced CT equipment, and collaborate within a dynamic healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic CT scans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the imaging process. Accurately position patients for optimal image acquisition. Operate and maintain CT equipment, performing quality control checks as required. Administer intravenous contrast media as per protocol and scope of practice. Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast media. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic health record system. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years of recent, specialized experience as a CT Technologist. Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in performing a wide range of CT imaging procedures and protocols. Expertise in operating various CT scanner models and associated software. Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Ability to perform venipuncture for contrast administration (if applicable). Excellent patient care and communication skills. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Weekend Rotation: Not specified. Licensing Requirements Active and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license or accreditation in the state of Tennessee. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R). American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography (CT). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
