Job description
Job Title Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Summary We are seeking a clinically compassionate Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week assignment at a large, dynamic skilled nursing facility (SNF) located in Salinas, Monterey County, California. This role involves providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to a diverse patient population within the SNF setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients, collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, and maintaining meticulous documentation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and well-being in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat skilled nursing facility patients to improve their functional independence and quality of life. Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans. Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in Net Health, adhering to facility standards. May be required to float to a sister facility within walking distance as operational needs dictate. Required Qualifications Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license or eligibility for licensure under the 60-day rule. Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. New graduates are welcome to apply; mentorship opportunities are available. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical evaluation and treatment skills for a skilled nursing patient population. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically Net Health. Excellent time-management and organizational skills. Flexible and collaborative mindset, with strong teamwork abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Shift Details Shift Type: AM shifts. Shift Duration: 12 hours per shift. Days per Week: 3 days per week. Contract Length: 13 weeks. Start Date: April 27, 2026. Schedule Preference: Preference for Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday schedules. Call Requirements: Not specified. Weekend Rotations: Included in preferred schedules. Licensing Requirements Active California (CA) Occupational Therapist (OT) license. Eligibility for California licensure under the 60-day rule.
