Director of Laboratory Services
Boulder Community Health is seeking an experienced and collaborative Director of Laboratory Services to lead all laboratory operations across the hospital and affiliated locations. This key leadership role is responsible for the strategic, operational, financial, and regulatory oversight of a comprehensive laboratory program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accurate, and timely diagnostic services that support exceptional patient care. The Director of Laboratory Services partners closely with physicians, hospital leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to drive operational excellence, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and service growth.
Responsibilities include leadership of laboratory operations, budgeting, staffing, performance improvement, workflow optimization, accreditation readiness, equipment and resource planning, and the development of high-performing laboratory teams. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented healthcare leader with a strong background in hospital-based laboratory services, laboratory accreditation and regulatory requirements, and experience leading complex clinical operations. This individual will foster a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while advancing strategic initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and physician satisfaction. Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Laboratory Science required.
- Masters degree in Hospital Management or Business Administration preferred.
- Five years hospital-based acute care experience required.
- Three years management and leadership experience required.
