Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Job Description Job Title Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment within a dynamic hospital system in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This role involves floating between two acute care facilities: Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX, and Dallas Medical Center in Farmers Branch, TX. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. You will be responsible for operating specialized equipment, monitoring patient vitals, and ensuring a safe and efficient procedural environment for a diverse patient population, including those with COVID-19. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Operate and maintain specialized imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses during procedures. Prepare the cath lab suite with necessary equipment and supplies. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures. Document patient information and procedure details accurately using Epic charting system. Participate in on-call rotations as required. Provide care for COVID-19 positive patients as needed. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technician or Technologist in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Ability to float between Dallas Regional Medical Center (Mesquite, TX) and Dallas Medical Center (Farmers Branch, TX). Proficiency with Epic charting system. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Interventional Radiology (IR). Skills & Competencies Clinical Skills: Expertise in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, sterile technique, and patient assessment during procedures. Equipment: Proficient in operating C-arm fluoroscopy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR) equipment, and hemodynamic monitoring systems. Soft Skills: Adaptability, strong teamwork, excellent communication, critical thinking, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Shift Details Shift Type: Days (AM) Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (12.5-hour shifts) Days per week: 3 days per week Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: August 3, 2026 End Date: November 1, 2026 On-Call Requirement: Yes, rotating call 12-15 days per month, including every other weekend. Call Hours: Weekdays 3:00 PM - 6:30 AM; Weekends 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (24 hours). Licensing Requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
