Pipe Yard & Fabrication Specialist
Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Yard Supervisor
We are seeking a detail-oriented, safety-conscious Pipe Yard & Fabrication Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipe orders in a fast-paced shop and yard environment. You will operate powered industrial equipment and pipe-fabrication machinery while adhering to strict safety guidelines.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude. Candidates with backgrounds in auto mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive lines, diesel, or farm equipment are highly encouraged to apply.
Material Handling & Organization: Move loose or bundled pipe safely within the shop and yard. Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain clean, organized work supplies.
Pipe Fabrication & Machining: Set up, operate, and maintain machines for pipe fabrication. Thread pipe using Landis machines and cut pipe to specification using band saws or torches.
Precision Measurement: Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately. Ensure all cuts and assemblies match order specifications.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and company procedures. Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on forklift equipment.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow all safety precautions and company procedures for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
Technical Skills: Ability to read a tape measure with high accuracy. Experience with, or a strong aptitude for learning to operate, cutting and threading machinery (onsite training will be provided).
Communication: Good oral and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and documenting measurements.
Work Style: Results-focused and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Able to work productively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Safety Mindset: Strong knowledge of, or commitment to learning, safe work practices in a pipe yard and industrial shop setting.
While prior pipe yard experience is a plus, we highly value mechanical experience. You are encouraged to apply if you have a background in:

Diesel mechanics or farm equipment maintenance
General machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
