In this position, you will be responsible for servicing AHL group homes in Duluth. You will be conducting repairs, installing appliances and flooring, painting, waste disposal, performing scheduled maintenance tasks, and assisting with major projects within the organization as required. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and renovation tasks is essential.Location: Fridley, MN and surrounding areasSchedule: Full-Time Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm with half hour lunch breakSome on-call for emergenciesCompensation: $26.00-$28.00 an hour depending on experienceJob Duties:Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely mannerPerform repairs, installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures and all house hold appliancesDiagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and water systems to include purchasing and delivering water softener salt monthly to all metro propertiesReplace both interior and exterior doors and windowsRepair flooring from stretching carpet to full replacement and repair to include wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone and tile and carpetingMaintain exterior of homes as neededRepair, replace and build outdoor decks, stairs, and fencesBe on-call to respond to emergency issuesRequirements:18 years or olderPass a MN DHS background studyPass a MVR checkComprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical systemsPhysical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workdayManaging and reviewing the maintenance requests the planning and prioritizing workDocumentation of property safety concerns and inspectionsValid driver's license with access to reliable transportationAvailable afterhours for emergenciesKnowledge to plan projects and be strong at decision-makingProficiency to troubleshoot and solve complex problemsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to safety policies and proceduresBenefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceShort & Long Term DisabilityLife InsuranceCritical IllnessHospital ConfinementAccident InsuranceDependent Care FSAPaid Time OffPaid Holidays OffPerformance-Based Wage IncreasesEmployee Assistance ProgramsWe are a growing company which can lead to opportunities for advancement and we take pride in employee development and training!
