Position Summary
This role combines business intelligence development, database support, and Tier-1 IT assistance. The primary focus is building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, developing SQL-based data models, and ensuring clean, reliable data across enterprise systems. The position also supports system integrations, documentation, and basic IT troubleshooting for end users.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting (60%)
• Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards used by Finance, Sales, Operations, and Senior Leadership.
• Develop data models and queries using SQL, Infor Syteline datasets, and other internal data sources.
• Assist in the migration of reporting from legacy tools (e.g., Cyberquery) into Power BI.
• Clean and transform datasets for accuracy, consistency, and performance.
• Automate recurring reports and provide ad-hoc analysis when needed.
Database & Systems Support (20%)
• Support integrations between Syteline, UKG, ShopTrak, and other enterprise systems.
• Help maintain data integrity across platforms by diagnosing discrepancies and reconciling data
• Contribute to documentation of system processes, data dictionaries, and reporting standards.
IT Support (20%)
• Provide Tier-1 IT support: password resets, workstation setups, user access, basic troubleshooting.
• Triage tickets and escalate more complex issues to IT Manager or outside providers.
• Assist with hardware rollouts, software installations, and user onboarding.
• Maintain ticketing system hygiene and help identify recurring issues.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or similar.
• Strong familiarity with Power BI, Excel, and basic SQL.
• Comfort working with enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, MES, CRM).
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills—able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Skills
• Exposure to Infor Syteline, UKG, ShopTrak, or similar enterprise systems.
• Experience with Python, DAX, or Power Query (M).
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (Star schema, normalization, joins).
• Experience with ticketing systems (Jira, FreshService, HelpDesk, etc.).
