Job Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team supporting developing and mature production programs in a fabrication shop environment. The role performs routine manufacturing engineering work using standard techniques and procedures, with accountability for determining manufacturing processes, sequencing operations, and preparing tooling, gauging, and N/C programs for complex machined parts and sub-assemblies. Responsibilities: Determine manufacturing procedures and establish operation sequencing for pre-production and production phases. Prepare tooling and gauging lists and write detailed operation sheets for complex machined parts and sub-assemblies. Develop, prepare, and prove out N/C programs and use computer systems to generate operation sheets and standards. Establish engineered or estimated setup and run time standards for each operation. Provide technical support to production shops to solve issues related to tooling, machine tools, gauging, heat treat, and plating. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Product/Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, M&P, Inspection, Production, Purchasing, Scheduling, and vendors to resolve problems. Apply concurrent engineering principles in partnership with internal engineering groups. Perform assignments that may include tasks typical of a higher level for training and development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency with manufacturing process planning, operation sequencing, and time standards. Experience preparing and proving out N/C programs and producing detailed operation sheets. Ability to troubleshoot production issues involving tooling, machine tools, gauging, heat treat, and plating. Effective collaboration and communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors. Competence with engineering computer systems for documentation, programming, and standards. Preferred Skills: Background in fabrication shop environments and complex machined components. Familiarity with concurrent engineering and collaboration with design engineering and quality functions.
