Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator (PC) is at the heart of the Genesys Works student experience. Through coaching, workforce development, partnership management, and career readiness programming, the PC helps young people develop the skills, confidence, and professional relationships needed to achieve long-term success. This role serves as a trusted mentor, educator, and advocate for students while building strong partnerships with employers, schools, and families. PCs are responsible for implementing the Genesys Works' core model which includes:

  • Providing professional support and guidance to a cohort of interns during a year-long internship
  • Facilitating strong, supportive relationships between interns and their site supervisors
  • Delivering our college and career success programming, and
  • Leading a cohort of participants in our yearly Summer Training program.

PCs will be expected to lead, motivate, supervise, and mentor youth in a manner that helps transform them into workforce-ready young professionals. Individuals with a commitment to youth development and passion for advocating for students from underserved communities are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Genesys Works team is looking for a values-driven individual who wants to make an impact by empowering young people and expanding access to meaningful career opportunities. Strong candidates are energized by the chance to help students succeed while contributing to a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

Our organizational values are putting our young people first, collaboration, sustainability, equity, and respect. These values are woven across all sites, teams, and positions. If you are someone who applies an equity lens in your approach, proactively identifies opportunities to reduce barriers and improve outcomes, this could be the next great fit you're looking for.

Every day, Program Coordinators help create opportunities that can change the trajectory of a young person's life. You will work directly with students as they secure internships, develop professional skills, explore college and career pathways, and gain the confidence to succeed in the workplace and beyond.

Relationship and Account Management

  • Manage a cohort of approximately 2530 interns, providing individualized coaching, performance monitoring, and career-readiness support throughout the program cycle.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, school personnel, and internship supervisors to ensure exceptional experiences and outcomes for both interns and partners.

  • Facilitate professional and/or technical skills training to students during an eight-week summer training program to prepare them for an internship.
  • Monitor summer training performance and provide primary input on which students earn an internship based on summer training performance.
