The Evening SPD Supervisor will also help guide Sterile Processing staff across evening operations including staffing coordination, workflow oversight, policy development, and quality initiatives. Collaboration across surgical services is highly visible in this role, especially when balancing operational priorities with patient care demands. The Evening SPD Supervisor will oversee surgical instrumentation reprocessing functions that support the Operating Room, specialty procedural departments, outpatient surgery services, and physician clinics. This Sterile Processing Department manages decontamination, assembly, sterilization, high-level disinfection, instrument tracking, and distribution for a busy perioperative environment. The Evening SPD Supervisor will work alongside experienced SPD professionals, surgical teams, and clinical leaders in a department known for professionalism, strong teamwork, and high expectations. The Evening SPD Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining compliance with AAMI, AORN, and industry sterilization standards while supporting education, competencies, quality audits, and process improvement initiatives. Administrative responsibilities for the Evening SPD Supervisor include staffing coordination, scheduling, budget oversight, instrument repair management, policy updates, and assisting with capital purchases. This role also helps support hiring activities, employee coaching, and departmental performance initiatives while ensuring QA documentation and tracking systems remain accurate and up to date.
