Job description
Penmac Staffing is hiring Manufacturing Operators for a well-established microbiology manufacturing facility in Lenexa, KS. This role offers multiple shift options, competitive pay based on shift, overtime opportunities, and hands-on work supporting the production of scientific and medical products.Pay & SchedulePay ranges from $18.00 to $19.55 per hour, depending on the assigned shift.Available schedules include:
  • Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
  • Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Monday–Thursday, 4:15 PM–2:45 AM
Overtime may be available based on production needs.Manufacturing Operator Responsibilities
  • Operate production and packaging equipment safely and efficiently
  • Monitor product quality and perform visual inspections
  • Complete production documentation and quality checks
  • Make basic machine adjustments and report equipment issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety, quality, sanitation, and manufacturing procedures
Work EnvironmentThis facility produces microbiological products used in laboratory and testing environments. Candidates should be comfortable with:
  • Occasional odors related to biological production processes
  • Handling or working near animal-derived materials, including sheep’s blood
  • Working in a highly regulated, sanitation-focused manufacturing environment
Facility tours are available before starting so candidates can become familiar with the work environment.Manufacturing Operator Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 200 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to distinguish colors for quality-control purposes
  • Steel-toed or composite-toed footwear
  • Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
