Transport First Aid Trainer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a newly formed specialist training function within home to school transport. We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic First Aid Trainer who enjoys helping others learn and develop.

You will be confident delivering training to a wide range of audiences, adapting your approach to meet different learning styles and creating an inclusive and positive learning environment. You will be passionate about maintaining high standards and ensuring delegates leave training feeling confident and capable.

Most importantly, you'll be motivated by the opportunity to play a key role in keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe whilst travelling on transport services.

About the Team

Warwickshire County Council is responsible for the provision of Home to School Transport for thousands of children and young people across the county. To support the safe delivery of these services, we provide specialist training to transport providers across a range of subjects including First Aid, Safeguarding and PATS.

As part of our growing training team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring transport staff have the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to emergency situations.

About the Role

As a Transport First Aid Trainer, you will plan, deliver and continuously develop engaging First Aid training to drivers and passenger assistants working across our transport network.

You will be responsible for maintaining high training standards, assessing delegate competence, contributing to the development of training materials and ensuring training remains aligned to current legislation and best practice.

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults who rely on transport services every day.

Key Requirements

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Experience delivering First Aid training to groups.
• A recognised teaching or training qualification.
• Strong knowledge of current First Aid guidance and legislation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to engage, motivate and support learners.
• A commitment to quality, continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
