We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to define and drive serviceability features for next-generation cancer care systems. This role helps to describe and translate service strategy into clear product concepts, user needs, and design inputs, ensuring serviceability is built into product architecture from the start.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the creation of service-oriented product concepts and capabilities, including measures of productivity and alignment with strategic initiatives
- Author and maintain concept documents aligned to strategic service innovation initiatives
- Collaborate with senior SMEs and peer product managers to define and document user needs, design requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, and workflows across service engineering personas
- Translate customer, field, and business requirements into structured design inputs
- Drive early engagement with R&D and manager of service functions to embed serviceability into product architecture
- Collaborate with systems engineering on requirements traceability and design control
- Lead cross-functional workshops to define requirements and align stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and quality processes (e.g., design controls, risk management)
- Partner with digital, hardware, and cloud teams to define scalable service solutions
- Support implementation and validation of service features across development lifecycle
- Participate in defect or issue review efforts, working with SME leads to rank impact and prioritize topics for resolution
- Work with manager of service and CS leadership to support service strategic roadmaps
Key Deliverables
- Concept documents for new service capabilities and platforms
- Structured user needs in human-centered format
- Detailed use cases and operational workflows with complimentary productivity statements
- Design input documentation aligned to quality standards
- Traceability artifacts linking user needs to system requirements
- Serviceability requirements integrated into product definitions
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical product management, systems engineering, or related role
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare IT, or regulated environments
- Strong understanding of design control processes and product development lifecycle and related design validation practices
- Demonstrated experience defining user needs, use cases, and requirements
- Notable experience leading with cross-functional engineering teams (software, hardware, systems, support)
- Familiarity with tools such as Jama, Azure DevOps, Jiri, or similar
- Specific experience leading concept development in early-phase product innovation on at least 3 medical device product releases in the past 5 years
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with serviceability engineering or field service operations
- Knowledge of digital service platforms, remote connectivity, or IoT ecosystems
- Understanding of cybersecurity and data compliance standards
- Familiarity with radiation therapy oncology systems and treatment processes
- Certifications, (green or better) in DMAIC methodologies, value stream mapping, and strategy planning
- Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14971) and risk management processes
