Job Summary

• CLIENT is seeking an experienced Salesforce CPQ Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick/SBQQ) solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce CPQ, Quote-to-Cash processes, enterprise integrations, and Salesforce platform architecture.
• This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and enterprise architects to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing CPQ solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce CPQ Architecture

• Design and own end-to-end Salesforce CPQ architecture including Quote-to-Cash lifecycle.
• Architect complex pricing models including Price Rules, Product Rules, Discount Schedules, Block Pricing, and Special Pricing.
• Design Quote Line Editor (QLE) architecture for high-volume, multi-product environments.
• Implement Approval Processes, Subscription Management, Amendments, Renewals, and Quote-to-Order workflows.
• Design BOM (Bill of Materials) generation and configurator-driven integrations.
• Produce Solution Design Documents, Technical Specifications, Data Flow Diagrams, and Integration Architecture documents.

Salesforce Platform

• Design scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Flow Builder, SOQL, and Lightning Platform.
• Establish technical governance for Apex Trigger Frameworks, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, and Governor Limit optimization.
• Design role-based security using Permission Sets, Profiles, Field-Level Security, Sharing Rules, and SBQQ permissions.
• Implement Experience Cloud security and partner/OEM self-service quoting solutions.
• Optimize SOQL queries and Salesforce performance for large-volume CPQ environments.
• Integration & Enterprise Architecture
• Design integrations between Salesforce CPQ and ERP systems using MuleSoft or similar middleware.
• Develop REST/SOAP API integration strategies with SAP SD, Vistex/Rebate platforms, and external configurators.
• Define asynchronous/synchronous integration patterns, payload structures, error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring strategies.
• Ensure seamless Quote-to-Order integration with downstream financial and order management systems.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary technical architect for Salesforce CPQ implementations.
• Conduct architecture workshops and solution design sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead technical governance, risk identification, and architecture reviews.
• Ensure code quality, CPQ configuration integrity, and maintain 85%+ unit test coverage.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of Salesforce experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick/SBQQ) experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Developer.
