We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning.

Join the National MS Society at an exciting time of growth as we invest in expanding two of our premier fundraising markets in the West Region!

As the Assistant Director, Signature Events, you will serve as the primary fundraising lead for Dinner of Champions: Las Vegas while supporting the continued growth of Dinner of Champions: Phoenix. These two signature events with significant opportunity to expand philanthropic impact and generate more than $1 million annually in support of the Society's mission.

Your benefits include:

  • considerable Paid Time Off Plan
  • Paid Holidays
  • 401k Retirement Savings Plan with Society match
  • Commuter Benefit Plan

Comprehensive Health & Welfare benefits including:

  • Medical
  • Dental
  • Vision

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify new partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and community connections that contribute to sustainable fundraising growth.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Use Data to Drive Decisions

  • Analyze fundraising trends, donor behavior, and campaign performance to identify opportunities for increased engagement and revenue growth.
  • Utilize the Society's CRM and fundraising technology platforms to maintain accurate donor records, execute communications, generate reports, and support strategic decision-making.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build credibility and influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar donor management systems.
  • Confidence using data and reporting to inform fundraising strategy and improve campaign performance.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the initiative to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and continuously improve results.
  • Previous nonprofit development experience is highly desirable.
