Job descriptionJob Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Cleanrooms & HVAC) Work Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid)) No relocation Duration: 12 months Max PR: $70/hr - $77/hr Job Summary In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project’s mechanical aspects. You will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure the unique and complex requirements of a project’s mechanical aspects are met. Major Responsibilities Project Coordination: Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work in the mechanical discipline for a project or staff group. Design & Problem Solving: Performs work involving conventional engineering practice, as well as complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and challenging coordination demands. Technical Operations: Performs work using standard discipline application programs. Plans, coordinates, or prepares equipment/work specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and award recommendations. Cross-Discipline Alignment: Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty groups, other engineering disciplines, clients, suppliers, and contractors. Leadership & Communication: Assumes a lead technical role over other engineers or project subgroups for completing specific tasks. Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to supervisors and project management. Continuous Improvement: Supports functional initiatives to develop engineering department procedures, design guides, standard computer applications, and administrative practices. Mentorship: Mentors designers and drafters by providing appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development. Helps foster a work environment built on openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. Education & Experience Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in mechanical engineering or an equivalent field from an accredited university or college. Experience: Requires 10–13 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 14–17 years of relevant work experience without a specific degree. A minimum of 10 years of Dry systems experience is required.
