Corporate Healthcare Trainer

At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We are a multi-specialty medical practice located in the northern Baltimore suburban community. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. We also offer unique services like our nuclear stress testing facility. Each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site. We have been serving the community for more than 50 years.

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Healthcare Trainer to join our team! This is an outstanding full time opportunity if you thrive in a fast paced environment and have a passion for training and developing all levels of employees.

The Corporate Healthcare Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, aligning with organizational goals by conducting needs assessments, creating engaging learning materials, facilitating training sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement across all levels of the company.

The Corporate Healthcare Trainer supports and promotes the overall philosophy of the company by setting a consistent example of exceptional customer service, both to internal and external constituencies, and effectively manages available resources to promote compliance with the company's highest standards for quality consistent patient care and service.

Shift: Monday - Friday 9am -5pm

Location: 515 Fairmount Avenue, Towson, MD 21286

Travel to our sites in Pikesville and Reisterstown will be required as needed

Job duties and responsibilities include:

  • Onboarding & Training - Conducting new hire/provider orientation and deliver "at-the-elbow" EMR system training.
  • MA Advancement Program - Lead and manage the in house Medical Assistant Advancement Program.
  • Training Development - Collaborate with HR Director and members of the management team to create, deliver, and evaluate training curricula for staff.
  • Operational Support - Bridge the gap between clinical theory and practice, optimizing workflows and ensuring compliance.

Training & Development - Includes EMR (Nextgen) system training

  • Conduct New Hire Employee and Provider Training
  • Conduct on-the job remedial EMR training
  • Assess participants learning performance; identify the need for additional, specialized, or adaptive instruction.
  • Complete training evaluation forms and maintain records of completed training.

Medical Assistant Advancement Program / Training Curriculum

  • Facilitate 12 week training modules and curriculum according to company protocol
  • Weeks 1-6
  • Medical Assistant Role & Health Care Safety
  • Anatomy, Physiology, & Pharmacology
  • Medical Terminology & Coding
  • Insurance Basics
  • Clinical Skills: Vitals, Injections, Phlebotomy, and Testing
  • Weeks 7-12 (Externship)
  • Skills Assessment and Observational Based Training
  • EPM/EMR proficiency: Patient Data, Orders, Vaccinations, Referrals and Documentation
  • Workflow Optimization: Faxing, Filing, Tasking, and In-Box Management
  • Final Evaluation

Continuing Education:

  • Responsible for continuing education for MA/PSR Mentors within the organization.
  • Assess participant competencies and collaborate with managers to develop improvement plans.
  • Identify and report high-potential staff to HR, directly contributing to talent management and succession planning.
  • In conjunction with the HR Director develops training courses and materials to be used in workshop, group, and one-on-one training sessions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant in a primary care setting is required. Preferably at least 3- 5 years experience.
  • Maintains current MA certification.
  • Experience with EPM/EMR, NextGen is a plus!
  • Proficient in computer skills with a willingness and ability to learn new applications.
  • Professional presentation skills required.
  • Excellent oral communication skills with ability to hear, to understand and to speak Standard English clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to read, write and spell Standard English clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to develop training courses and materials, as necessary.
  • Ability to explain and teach others
  • Ability to design lessons that teach curriculum in an engaging manner, applying various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with culturally diverse patient, practitioner, and the employee population.
  • Ability to convey a positive attitude and project a professional image.
  • Ability to remain flexible.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to access various departments and travel to all site locations.
